Tie Rods & Limit Rods – Mechanical Restraints for Expansion Joint Protection
At Connectall LTD, we supply tie rods and limit rods designed to provide mechanical restraint and controlled flexibility in metal expansion joint systems. These components are essential for protecting bellows and piping by managing pressure thrust, joint movement, and displacement in unanchored or high-pressure systems.
Key Features of Tie Rods & Limit Rods:
Tie Rods – absorb pressure thrust and limit joint travel to prevent overextension or damage.
Limit Rods – allow controlled flexibility while restricting excessive displacement.
System Protection – safeguard expansion joints from fatigue and structural stress.
High-Strength Construction – built from durable alloys to handle demanding operating conditions.
Custom Options – engineered to match project-specific movement, load, and design requirements.
Applications:
Tie rods and limit rods are critical in:
Unanchored Piping Systems – where external restraint is required.
High-Pressure Piping Networks – ensuring safe and stable joint operation.
Power Generation & Utility Systems – turbine exhaust and steam line protection.
Industrial & Chemical Processing Plants – reducing stress on bellows in heavy-duty piping.
